...this girl is feeling quite pregnant.
Technically, this photo was taken at 24 weeks and 1 day, but another hasn't been taken yet.
She realized this morning while reading her Bump book that she is technically 6 months (well, in her six month). Duh, I know, but saying 25 weeks seems not-that-far-along - while saying 6 months makes it seem further...better.
Truly appreciates all of the warm, kind, and sweet comments left by friends and family on her blog, Instagram pics, and Facebook posts.
Loves Eggo waffles and has traded her bowl of morning cereal for 2 waffles. One with butter and syrup, the other with butter and grape jam. Just typing this makes her mouth water.
Filmed her Body Combat assessment video last Saturday. Not necessarily the best circumstances for watching yourself teach a fitness class, but this girl is proud and happy to send that baby in, be graded, and get on with things.
Finally was able to see baby girl's profile picture during the sonogram on Halloween day. It made it OH SO MUCH more real for some reason. Like seeing her face - dude, there's a baby growing in there!!! A real person. It's so surprising to me how often I have those, "oh my God! For real?!?!" moments.
Also, this baby girl knows how to put on a show - since her sonogram was on Halloween, she thinks baby girl decided to give a cool Halloween picture...check out those long bony fingers (smile!). Very Halloween-ish, she thought.
Went to Austin on Saturday afternoon to pick up baby girl's crib. A beautiful oak bed. Photos to come soon of Adam putting it together Saturday night - he couldn't wait!
Started (and nearly finished) baby girl's 2nd quilt. She thought baby girl needed a chevron quilt with more pinks and reds.
Loves that Henry likes to lay on the quilt while she works on it. She believes he's putting his scent on it so that baby girl will know who he is by his scent.
Is starting to feel the shortness of breath when she moves around after a good meal. But luckily, the heartburn has subsided (knocking on wood right now).
Can feel butter-bean doing somersaults in there - and loves the feeling. Awesomely, so very awesomely, loves watching her belly jump when butter-bean is kicking in there.
At 24 weeks and 6 days, was overjoyed when Adam actually could feel butter-bean kick. Watching his face with surprise and joy was priceless and so touching. Pretty sure that moment was on the top ten list.
Truly enjoys the warm smiles from strangers and even welcomes those who reach out and to touch her belly...however, her students who ask if they can "poke" her belly?! Um, nope. She would like to high five their face with her fist. But she calmly just walks away with no comment and a twitching eye.
At 24 weeks and 6 days, she ran five miles at her usual pace. With a quick bathroom break at mile three, of course. She plans on trying 6 this afternoon - running gives her peace in her head, with her body (ever growing body), and spirit.
Is counting the days till Thanksgiving. This is not out of the norm at this point in the school year - but this year, she is excitedly looking forward to the feast that is Thanksgiving. Just the thought of all the yummy food makes her giddy because she knows she will be wearing maternity pants and loving every bite - ala, Joey on Friends.
Jealous?! (wink, wink!)
Goes to sleep listening to Henry sweetly snore, feeling butter-bean kick and flip, and praying for her family, friends, and of course, for the little life growing inside.
At 25 weeks, this girl is quite happy and blessed beyond measure. Friends and family love this mama, papa, brother, and butter-bean so much already and that makes her heart smile.
Thanks for dropping by :)
