Thank you so much for your kind responses of congratulations. Adam and I are both very touched by your kind words. Before we made it official, we were still in the shocked phase, but now that it's out there, we are moving toward the over joyed and excited phase. We honestly feel so very blessed.
And in case you are wondering, the extremely tired phase has been present too (smile.) This photo was taken after 9PM folks, so you can bet that I was the one with the glossed over eyes from sheer exhaustion. Exhaustion from doing nothing but eating dinner with friends, no less. Usually Adam is the first of us to get tired, and has been known to doze off in mid conversation...I'll save the photos for a later date (wink, wink).
We are so very thankful for our family and friends who we know truly share our excitement and happiness. I'm not quite sure what I would do without these two strong women who I am lucky to call my best girlfriends.
Their advice and sincere moments of just understanding that my hormones are going cra-zy sometimes mean the world to me.
Other than being tired, hormonal, and irrationally hungry, this sweet dude and I have been enjoying our summer mornings playing outside the gate (that's a big deal for Henry!), working on organizing the new scrapbook room/spare bedroom, napping, lots of napping, and just spending time together.
This is his "Mama, the sun is right in my eyes, and I really want to go back outside the gate to continue playing with Butter's the cat. You are lucky I paused for one second for you to snap this pic - face." Notice the grass burr in his face - true evidence of playing outside the gate.
He truly is the best companion for my summer days at home. I just know he will be the best big brother next summer when there is three of us at home (super weird to think about, btw).
Thanks so much for dropping by :)
