I do a lot of creating in my head during my daily treadmill run. During my run last Monday, I thought about several sewing projects that I've had on hold for quite a while now. I finished my run, still thinking about sewing, and decided to ask my sister and friend if they would like to get together to sew on Saturday. We've talked about sewing on several occasions, but this weekend was the first time we actually did it. And my sweet cousin, Leslie, brought her sewing machine with her to visit and joined us.
By Saturday evening, our dining room could have been mistaken for a sewing machine factory :) One working on burp cloths for a friend's baby, one working on a baby quilt for a friend, one working on her first quilt, and one working on an infinity scarf made from repurposed Gap t's.
My project was an infinity scarf. I've made one before,
but still have a STACK of Gap-t's to go through...(I went through a phase when my closet was full of Gap t's). This time I worked with turquoise and cerulean blue t's.
This scarf was much easier than my first one. The first scarf was difficult because I'd never worked with jersey-knit before. This time I knew what to expect. Maybe by the end of my Gap t stack, I will complete a scarf without blurting out curse words!
I added lace and pearl buttons to this one
And am pretty sure I am wearing this tomorrow. Probably with a Gap T :)
I kid, I kid.
Thanks for dropping by :)
