We began with Christmas Eve dinner at my dads' new home.
and then had Christmas morning at mom's in our pajamas
where I proceed to put every scarf around my neck that I unwrap :)
And then headed over to my grandparents home for Christmas with the whole family
Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and grandparents. Mama and Papa's home is not very large, but it would not be the same if it were. We love squeezing in the living room watching the kids open gifts, eating too much, and laughing all the way.
Have I mentioned how much I LOOOVE being a teacher during Christmas Vacation?!?! I think someone else does too...
This dude went back to bed with me this morning and slept in till 11...check out that bed head :P
We got all of the holiday baking done yesterday. Rachel and Lee came over last night for pizza so Rach and I could ice and decorate the sugar cookies - our holiday tradition. I woke up this morning to a counter-top full of yummy gingerbread men, Christmas trees, and hearts... I may or may not have eaten 2 before breakfast ;)
Today is just crafting day. My scrap room and sewing machine have taken a backseat these days and I was hoping to have one day before Christmas to just be crafty.
And speaking of crafty, I would like to do a give-away! Leave a comment and tell me one of your favorite holiday traditions and I will randomly pick a winner to win this Hero Arts Acrylic "Thank You Flourishes" stamp set, and this sheet of Hambly white stitches Rub-on's.
I will let the random number generator pick a winner tomorrow at 12 p.m.
Woke up to lots of puppy (he's still a puppy to us...just 10lbs heavier LOL!) kisses. Thank goodness for his internal alarm. Adam forgot to set his last night and me being in vacation mode, I was truly planning on sleeping in. He woke us up with 30 min. to spare before Adam needed to be a work :)
Agenda for today: Holiday baking, cooking, and one last run to the mall for a family gift exchange gift.
And for Christmas pictures-sake, I thought I'd post our Christmas card
Good news yesterday: I finished wrapping gifts with a little help from Adam!
My sister, cousin, and I have a fun tradition of sorts that usually takes place on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas Day...
Can you guess what it is?
Not sure when it started, or why, but we started coordinating out outfits for the holiday. We all have similar tastes in clothing, and love bright colors, and enjoy fun photo-op's. So I mean, why not, right?!
I found this sweater at NY&Co. and emailed my sister the link at work. She then text the link to Leslie, and TA-DAAAAA!
Thanksgiving 2009 or "The Year of the Floral Rosette Cardigan"
Completed on Sunday, however, still not in the mail because I have been laying down since Tuesday. The muscles in my back have decided to betray me and hurt like Hades when I walk or stand in the upright position. Sucks super-bad, but hopefully the cards (and my legs) will be on their way by Friday.
