This is what I have been up to for the last few nights.
I pulled out my old oil painting supplies from the last class I took at Howard Payne.
I have wanted to do this for a long time...paint.
My excuse was that I did not have a space that I could designate my painting area - as opposed to my scrapbook area.
No longer do I have that excuse.
So I pulled them out - set up my easel and just started.
It's amazing how easy the mixing of the colors comes back.
Putting it on canvas and making it look good - now that is the part I forgot was difficult.
It is however, fun. I am enjoying it. It's relaxing and refreshing.
I am working on something that I want to frame and put up in our living room.
We need decorations BAD. Lots of blank walls still. And dropping lots of $ on reproduced paintings is just not feasible - especially when I can do it myself.
