Went on my first official field trip with students last Wednesday. It was a blast. My art classes I & II all went. We rode by "yellow-dog" bus to Fort Worth, where we visited the Amon Carter Museum, the Modern Museum, and the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens.
All three places were amazing. Surprisingly enough, I had never been to any of them before. It was an enjoyable first time visit for both myself and my students.
Which brings me to 2.
My last week of student teaching starts tomorrow. It is bittersweet. I am happy to be graduating - again. But am sad, too. I know I have said this before, but my experience as a student teacher has been a blast. I adore all of my students, and I **think** they feel the same. So I am sad to go. Sad to leave my students. Sad to leave my new friend, my mentor teacher.
But on a sweet note, the students took a vote last week. They could either have an "end of the year" party, or a "Goodbye Ms. Cantu party." Guess which one they chose?!
Looks like I will be making several batches of Monster Cookies for them on Friday :0)
