Unless your name happens to be Becky, Rachel and or Lorrie! :0)
It was pouring down rain Sat. morning at 6 a.m. We took a vote after we were dressed and ready. The consensus was this: not just no, but HELL NO. We will run in cold weather. We will run in HOT Texas weather. But rain? Um, not-so-much.
So we went back to bed and then woke up and went to Ihop! Yeah us!
It was kinda disappointing though - the first race in 4 years that we didn't run. But the stack of hot pancakes with extra syrup just about made the disappointment go away!
That afternoon, we went dress shopping. The girls found them. Beautiful. I am kinda jealous that I won't get one - they are that pretty. We decided on Bisque for the top, and chocolate brown for the tea length skirts. Gorgeous. And the accents just so happened to match my gown. Go us!
My objective next - the photographer. I really really really - did I say REALLY- wanted the photographers that Carrie Colbert is using, but they are just a smidge too much out of our budget. Okay, not just a smidge. More like a smidgenormous.
I have one in mind and I will share who he is when I find out fer sure.
And last, I will leave you with a photo that I took of a friend of ours daughter. She is turning 15 next month. And in the Mexican heritage tradition she will be having her Quincenera in March. I was so excited to be asked to take the photographs for her invitations. That Saturday was probably THE coldest day of winter we have had all season in Brownwood. It was freezing and she was doing her best to "act natural" and not shiver. Bless her heart - she was quite frozen. But I think she looks beautiful!
