Halloween. One day that exists in my favorite month. I have never been one to go all out with the Halloween decor. No spider webs around the shrubs. No spooky sounds playing when the trick-or-treaters come to the door. And certainly no costumes. I can only remember dressing up as a child. Those plastic costumes that were more like a tent, that made you sweat so bad - but always had the oh-so-cool scratch and sniff spot on your chest. Along with the plastic mask that only had eyes cut out - making you sweat like a dog to get some candy. :0) Ah, the memories.
But we do love carving pumkins, handing out candy and just seeing all the kids walking up and down the street. That's the fun part to me. I know one day when I have kids, I will want to go all out. But that's in the future. For now we will just eat our candycorn, hand out the treats and call it a Halloween day.
Happy Halloween folks. Hope it's a treat more than a trick!
While writing this post I had my trick for the day. The wind picked up outside and the front door flew open bringing in leaves and such from outside.
Perfect Halloween weather.
I, myself, am thankful that it was only the wind and Jason, Michael Myers, or Freddie K. didn't walk in behind the leaves and wind. :0)
